I have been with American Express since 1982. Have been failthful in payments often paying 4-5 minimun.
My husband died suddenly—and American Express acted as though I had defaulted on my credit card. They have lowered my credit limit twice, hurting my FICO score, and are intransigent in their approach to me.
I truly hope they get exactly what is coming to them…….no more business by anyone they have hurt . When the economy turns around, and you know it will, I hope they do not have one single customer return to them no matter what they promise. I’m going to encourage Costco to rethink using them, and to go with another company.
This is not how you repay brand loyalty.
